The trip, from June 23 to 27, could create opportunities for Pennsylvani a suppliers of power transmission anddistribution equipment. "The current energ y situation in South Africa provides Pennsylvania firms with a timely opportunityt to build market share in oneof Africa's largest and fastest-growing economies," said DCED Secretary Dennisx Yablonsky in a statement. South Africa'a expansion has increased demans for power and causesda long-term energy shortage and rolling according to the DCED.
Pennsylvania's trade representatived in Johannesburg has identified specific interests infossil fuel, nucleaer and specialty-coal power-generation electrical transmission and distribution alternative energies, energy conservation equipment, natura gas generation and supply technologies. Companies participatingb in the mission will receive a customizeds itinerary with prospective representatives and government officials in Johannesburg andothert cities.
