The Next Generation Manufacturing programn will provide grants in the rangeof $5,00o0 to $6,500 to pay as much as 50 percenft of project costs for services delivered by a Madison-based nonprofit consulting organization that offers technicakl expertise and business assistance to make Wisconsin manufacturerse more competitive. The remaining project costd will be paid bythe company. “At a time when many manufacturerare struggling, this assistance can be instrumental in settinhg the stage for future growth and profitability,” said Mike WMEP executive director.
As much as $5,000 per companyu is available to any small or midsizermanufacturer (less than 500 employees) interested in pursuing lean manufacturing transformation. The funding is targeted for projects designed to improvse performance across all facets of abusiness enterprise. Grantx of as much as $6,50o0 per company are available to help small and midsize manufacturersimplement Eureka! Winning Ways, a nationallyg recognized system to accelerat growth and generate high impact ideas for new products and Grants are offered on a first-serve basis. Project completion deadline is Dec. 31, 2010.
